Help Why can't I have more than two gmail account?

I've just moved to Android from iPhone 4 and one of the first (annoying) thing I'm noticing is that I can't add more than two gmail accounts.

As soon as I try to configure the third one, I got the account verified and press sync now, the screen goes to the agreements page that I accept and finish, but anything happen and my account is not added to the list.

Any reason for this? My Desire S runs on GingerBread.

I think it was a problem with the wi-fi connection as in the office I've now been able to configure the third.

Sorry for the wrong section, but as there is not a desire s section, I thought this was the most appropriate.
