When I First got my Huawei Ascend I could listen to my music and calls in stereo now its just mono. I bought new head phones and same problem is it the phone or what?

Oem headphones don't work?
The ascend doesn't seem to accept third party ear peices or adapted 3.5mm either. Not in my experience or any thing I looked up.
My suspicion is that the mic and left ear piece feeds are switched or something because the mic seems to give a tiny tone but somehow works.

If you're having the same problem with all earphones, including the included pair out of the box, then I'm going to guess it's a hardware problem with the phone. I've heard plenty of reports that the jack is just cheap crap and that quite a few people seem to be having the issue. I would suggest going back to the store and hashing it out with them.
