Help Why can't I send MMS in 3rd party text apps?

has anyone noticed this? is it just me? do I have to flash some fix? whether I'm on stock or midnight rom, I'm unable to send an MMS on any messaging app other than the stock one. I've tried textra, go sms, hangouts, etc. nothing. it's pretty frustrating. any solutions?

I have (tried virgins and sprints) and it still doesnt work. its like the s3 has its own separate settings that no one knows.

Yes. I have also experienced this and it sucks. Virgin Mobile really locks down their phones.
