i have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and my provider is Bell Canada and i noticed the latest ICS is 4.0.4 i am only on 4.0.1 why can't i update to the latest?:(

If you go into google maps> settings> about, you'll see that your device is yakjuux, which means you'll be getting any updates from Samsung and not directly from google. I had the same thing, so I unlocked and flashed to yakju, which now gives me updates (I'm on 4.1.1) and I'm on the Bell network. It takes a bit of reading, but with a toolkit it's not all that difficult to do.

sounds risky to me. unless you can give me a guide that is easy to use:D

I posted how I went about doing it here:

I basically started from scratch (knowledge-wise) and managed to do it with no issues. A couple of times during the flashing portion the phone froze on the google screen, but a battery pull and turning it on into bootloader worked fine and everything else was smooth.

If you feel up for giving it a go just follow the steps closely and read everything. As long as you're not technologically inept you should be just fine!
