Why does it feel that iPhone is just a device that is ripping people off?

Ever notice that when Apple releases a new OS update or phone, the fanboys are close to organism? I've figured this one out, iphones are so inconfigurable that they have to wait for apple to change something for them. I have four launchers installed that I rotate through and reconfigure whenever I'm feeling bored, and if I want a new phone, I don't have to wait for oneplus to introduce a new model, I can choose from a thousand others. I guess the camera's nice but 99% of people are just snapping photos of slobbering kids and professional photographers don't use telephones. Anyway, even cheap brands have nice cameras these days, and the one on my own phone kind of kicks butt. Phones are like anything else in life, once you become an adult, you don't really care about the label on your jeans.

Not to mention it (but I'm gonna), how about how iphone and all (cr)apple products are considered basically not worth repairing by apple, but are usually easily repaired by others?

That is, of course, if the needed parts are available- and you don't need a proprietary tool to take the turd apart.

There are people on Youtube that have channels dedicated to the repair of apple crap that apple said was unrepairable- but of course is replaceable.

In the past year, Louis Rossman, (sp?) an Apple repair guy and YouTube personality, has been all over the country advocating for right to repair, including my home state of Washington. Wish I could've met him, seems like a straight shooter.

That may be exactly the guy I had in mind.
I'm not totally sure, but it very well could be.
