Help Why does it go flat in four hours?

Hi everyone
Got an issue with my phone.
Flat under four hours.
Is this normal because I think I shall get rid of my phone if it is.
It looks nice but is not fit for purpose. Finding a phone box would be more reliable in a crisis than this.
Android will loose a customer if it continues.
Will try a reset soon then bin it if it continues.
Poor show Samsung.
No nothing is running in the background.
You can see the percentage reading on the battery going down like watching the minutes on a clock. Is it shorting out inside?

Hi again. Just charged up my phone to 100% full. Switched it on again and in approximately seven or eight minutes, it is showing exactly 78% charged. It is crazy what I am seeing right before my eyes. This phone is dare I say it possessed. How does one explain this. No apps in the background running at all. And now I cannot get samsung application to work where you can get extra apps from. Might now try a virus checker.

It's time to give up on this phone I fear.

Well my phone s5570 is lasting 2-3 days with wi-fi, bt, sync,gps off; 25% brightness and mostly on 2g mode (using 3g only when i`m surfing the web dowloading something from andoidmarket). Try to go in your seting and see what is using your phone battery the most (settings>about phone>battery use) and try to to solve the problem . But 22% in 7-8 mins - just taike it to the warranty service..
