Help Why does my battery indicator get stuck on 100%?

It doesn't happen every time I charge my battery to full but does happen pretty often. It will stay on 100% all day. I have only had this phone a month and has happened 10 times. Then when I plug in in to charge it won't charge. The only way to fix it is to power off and restart.

I am not rooted and use the stock battery indicator which I had to turn on under Settings / Power Saver / Battery Percentage.

Hi dinomosin.

The battery itself might be fine, as we're seeing reports of this happening with this device and a few other LG devices. Rebooting temporarily remedies the issue, as you have found. It seems to be an intermittent bug.

Some have taken the trouble to root and install a custom ROM just to get away from that issue. Some have had success with the stock system and a 3rd party battery widget from the Store. ;)

a 3rd party battery widget from the Store. ;)

I've been using Tiny Battery Widget for a while now (three phone's worth). Its a customizable 1x1 widget that sits well on your screen.

But there's a zillion of battery app/widgets out there... just try 'em till you find one you like.

Yeah i know. I keep thinking of that and i keep wondering if somehow something concerning the battery the stats or images plays a roll in the scheme of the security.

I am sorry bud.i just reread your original post. I believe to delete battery stats you need to be rooted.
