Hey fellas

Just went and started disabling some apps. As doing so I noticed that my "free ram" was going dwn instead of up like I thought it would. And I waited a while to see if it did but no... When I started I had 170mb free. After disabling svoice , Google play music, and a few other ones.... It was at 60mb free.

I figured it would of made more ram available

Thx

Generally, Android tries to use up all the RAM in your phone. It preloads apps and services over time to reduce the loading time of those services when you need them. That way, it makes the phone feel more responsive when you use apps and services if they are already loaded into RAM. Even though you are disabling apps, there may be enough other apps and services that are still enabled to use up more RAM.

Indeed. Android is not Windows :-)

On an Android device too much free RAM is just a waste of resource, something the OS tries hard to avoid.
