My Redmi Note 7 was submerged in a pail of water so I had to dry it for a few days. I opened it and it worked great for a while but after a few hours, the screen went black. I had to wait for a couple of hours before it turns back to normal. After a few hours, the same thing happened again. What could possibly cause this?

well your phone is not water resistant so i'm not surprised it is acting odd. you can try a hard reset. if it is still acting up, then you might be SOL on the phone. either learn to live with it or get a new phone. this is why i always get insurance. i'm such a clutz that i know there is a good chance something bad will happen to my phone.
