Root why does ROM manger think my phone is an M860(Ascend 1)???????

i rooted my phone with SDK and Super One Click, everything seems to be fine. except, when i try to download the cm7 ROM from ROM manager, it reads my phone as an m860. why?

also, when i try to do a backup of my stock ROM or try to install the cm7 ROM, my phone gets stuck on the white Huawei screen and does nothing. i have to pull the battery t restart it. i have Clock Work Recovery flashed just fine and i have Busy Box installed. i did use app 2 rom to move some stuff on my phone, is this the problem? should i backup my contacts and do a factory reset on my phone and start over?

any help would be greatly appreciated...

i rooted my US Cellular Ascend 2 using SDK and Super One Click. when i try to flash CWR, CWM reads my phone as a Huawei U8160. what did i do wrong???????????

just wanted to let everyone know that i figured it all out

got playful god's version of cm7 on my ascend 2, the only thing that doesn't work is wifi, seriously thinjing about flashing duck's version so everything works...

a couple of strange things though... my US Cellular service still works perfectly(phew!!!), but the play store thinks my phone is a Cricket phone now, i.e.- when i tried to download the my contacts backup app via my phone, it said that the app wasn't available for my carrier. however, when i installed it to my phone via website, it worked perfectly
