why does s4 keep making bell ringing noise

Welcome to the forums 
It could be that you are receiving a notification and the default sound is the bell chime. Have you seen if you are have any new notifications?

Hi!
here are two solutions (there are more actually but these two are the more elegant ones).
1. check your notification bar when you hear the ring, and see which app is causing it. open the app, go to settings and disable the sounds.
2. go to the general phone settings and chose sound. Disable system or app sounds.
