Why doesn't the default calendar Search feature work?

Is it me, or is there something completely wrong with the Search feature on the calendar of the Droid? I have an Incredible, recently upgraded to 2.2, and when I use the search feature to look for something in my calendar, it says that it is not found, even though i can go to the day I am looking for and the appt is in there!

What the heck? Has anyone else had this problem or know what the issue could be????

I looked at the settings for Search on my Captivate and Calendar is not one of the options. I use Power Search, which I like better anyhow since I can segregate out items just from my phone.
 
2.2? Is that official ROM, if it's from the internet, then, some of froyo roms has some bugs waiting for fixing. If so, then, I guess possiblely is a bug.
 
Search seems to work OK for calendar appointments on my Incredible (updated via the OTA, rooted earlier this evening). Are you using a calendar replacement/front end? I noticed I can't search in CalendarPad, but have to open the actual Calendar app.

Well, I have Jorte loaded on my device, but I am using the Default calendar that comes with the Incredible. I wonder why it does not seem to properly "search" my appts? The appts are in there, but when I put in a key term, it says the search finds nothing!!!

Thanks a ton for mentioning Power Search. Just installed it and it works like a dream!!!! :D
