Why hello!

Ohkaty

Newbie
Well I just joined! And my phone is the android triumph.

AND I recently started to develop problems with my phone storage. And I have read some of the threads dedicated to trying to fix the problem, but my problem is I simply can not understand what you are referring to.

Honestly I am not very technical, so when you say root? What is that?
Also, with backing up does that back up everything? Like old texts and what not? I apologize for my lack of knowledge in this field. ):

Anyways, I have around 33. MB and I continue to get the message saying that I am running out of storage, and I have moved all possible apps to the SD card. And I have uninstalled all unused apps. So I only have 5 apps not including the app store. Also I have deleted as many old texts and old photos. And erased cache and history on my browser.

So is there any solutions? I want to be able to delete android apps like 'airG chat, facebook, poynt?' So if you can please help me that would be very much appreciated! And if you do try helping please please do it by a step by step way. I am very rudimentary at this!

Welcome ohkaty, hopefully we can provide the answers you need for your questions.

I am going to give you a lot of information, so please bear with me when i try and expain it and if i am still not explaining it well enough you can always visit the subforum dedicated to your phone or Android Lounge - Android Forums

Let's get started here:

This is a page that tells you what you are doing when you root your phone, and what it actually means: What does "Rooting" your phone actually mean?

Backing up your android means to simply back absolutely everything up, music, contacts, texts, emails, whatever, everything, here is a link to one of the best backup apps that i like and a lot of others like, its also a review over it and what it provides to you, the user.

The Best Backup App for Android

If you are looking for the ability to delete apps, you can go into your Settings > Apps > click on the app and delete it.

However, if your phone isn't rooted, you won't be able to delete certain apps because the carrier you are with will not let you delete certain apps that they put on your phone.

Lastly, have you ever thought about getting an SD card, i dont know if your phone can support it, but they are fairly cheap and would solve your problem

Hopefully this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Hello and welcome aboard, Ohkaty...

I see that Digital Controller has giving you some good info and as well as steered you in the right direction - cool.

Here's hoping you'll find this place helpful. :)

Thaaanks you so much!
And yes, I have a 8GB sd card but it's not of good use, since I already have 3 out
of my 4 apps on there and it continues to give me the same warning!

BUTTT I am so glad someone answered haha. I will definitely be asking more once I figure everything out.

Thanks again.
