Had my hero for a couple of months now and havn't regretted it at all. Lots of fuss about new phones coming out in the next few months (legend & desire etc) but the hero is still a great phone. The firmware upgrade has gotten rid of a lot of giggles and the 2.1 will be great. Android is definitely the way forward despite the new Windows announcement. The hero is still the best phone around and although the next 12 months will see some good phones come out I am still recommending my phone to my friends!

Same here. Had a dumbphone and a smartphone before this hero. Man android is so much better than windows mobile. Android market hands down beats microsoft marketplace. htc also makes great phones. In my opinion, the hero is just as good as the iphone.

I love my hero, my gf loves her hero, i keep hearing people winge about 2.1 if i`m being truthfull i don`t even care the phone already does more than I ever expected, I was a die hard SE fanboi smartphones/dumbphones before I got my hero, and i`ll never look back, I bought it soley for the fact it had android on it and a lush capacitive screen , the market is just going to get better and better
