Root Why is it i can a gazillion people to jailbreak iphones but not a single person in my area to root??

I live in western canada - and I'm petrified to root/kernal/rom etc etc my phone on my own (I get easily confused and flustered lol)

So I'm just wondering why is that iphone jailbreaks are everywhere but to find 1 person to root my phone in this general area is 0.

Is rooting much more difficult? easier, and maybe thats why no one offers it?

I've been on XDA - and once again I am confused as heck LOL....


I have no idea what root - rom - kernal is whatso ever...... I get the overall concept just not individually
 
Ok i went to the rootgalaxy site - and tried doing what was told and downloaded KLIES program on my computer - somehow now I have some fliptoast program on my comp that I can't download.


I was also told that there is not enough ROMS for 1717 so there is no point of rooting......
