yea my younger brother has the 1st gen iphone. ive seen all the tweaks and hacks has to do just to get the functionality of a phone from the year 2000. I make fun of him all the time :-). I like the iPhone for what it is, but the novelty wears off alot faster than the Nintendo Wii.:cool:

I think you are in for a big surprise if you think we are not going to tweak and hack the crap out of android to get all the things get want. There is no novelty to the iPhone, it is the most advanced phone out right now. Just because a bunch of teenage kids have one doesn't make it crap. Doesn't matter to me, I will have both.

Its advanced in that it has a MULTI touch screen and nice resolution....but thats where it all ends.

You are contradicting yourself.
You seem to talk negatively about Android and its interface design, then you praise it.

Which is it?
You like it, hate it, or want it?
 
To be honest, I read about three posts before I decided to post. Since Android is so open to new developers and programs, I'm positive you will see different themes on the phone aswell.

Sure, some may not like the Google OS Design. I love it. But if you really dislike it that much, just wait till you get a hand on what some designers can do. :P
 
Until you can hold it, it is really pointless to make comments about what it looks like through pictures on the web. I cant think of a single review of the phone that said it was not nicer in person.

You may be in for a longer wait than anticipated. There are no scheduled releases for any other phone for 2008.

And yes, everything is clear now. Thank you for that.

That's how I felt about the Dash...in photos it was the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Then I went to the T-mobile booth to get a new phone...and I saw this beautiful little gem of a phone sitting there...not trying to look too high-tech, not looking like crap...and I had to get it. After that I just fell in love with it. lol. I'm hoping the G1 has the same effect on me. It looks bad in photos, good on video...and hopefully great in hand.
