Help Why is kies download so hard to find

I need to download and install kies for Australia (probably that's the international version?). I understand the USB drivers for testing / debugging apps are provided by kies. But when I go to samsung sites all I get are downloads for an uninstaller and user manual ?? judging by other posts it's not easy to find, I certainly haven't found it

I dont understand why samsung would play secret squirrel with kies?

Any clues or a link to latest kies for Australia would be appreciated

Go to samsung.com.

Support > Downloads > Galaxy S > Software

And there it is. Software is located under the Downloads tab.

the first method only shows me one download, (the kies unistall program)
