Why is my droid camera all of a sudden terrible?

So the other day I went to the camera to take a pic (keep in my I don't really take pictures often) and the camera is all blurry. I don't really get it. Nothing like this has ever happened before and the screen over the camera is definitely clean. I'm sort of pissed off because the nearest Verizon retailer is probably 25 miles away and I don't want to drive that far for a damn camera problem. Any suggestions? I'm new to these forums so if I can figure out how to get a pic up I will do that. Thanks guys.
 
The same thing happened to the my camera video recording quality once I upgraded to 2.1. All of a sudden, its terrible when it used to be much better. I have no clue what to do about it...
 
Is there enough light, and are you holding the phone completely still?

I'm having the same problem. It's almost impossible to hold it steady enough for a crisp picture. They were much better when I first got the phone.
