Why is the Text Message Icon Red, not Green?

Is it just a verizon thing? Personally, I find it ugly/annoying.

Can the color be changed back to green like it is on every other Motorola Phone?

If you use a 3rd party launcher like Nova or Apex, certainly. Don't know about the stock Moto launcher.

You are using verizons preloaded messaging app. Delete it and replace the spot with the one that just says messaging.

Do yourself a favor -- go through your installed apps, and anything with a red-colored icon, give it a second look as Verizon bloat. Roll back any updates, then disable. Of the 14 pre-installed apps I've disabled and stricken from my app drawer, half are direct from Verizon.

The red is messenger+, which is a media sharing, group-centric style. If you want just traditional, delete the red off the screen, and move the green messaging to the front...it's the native for traditional texting
