Why is this?

Hi everyone,

Notice anything wrong with this picture? Yep, I have 2 Gmail apps.
I've found some posts about this, but no reasons or solutions, so I thought I'd have a go at saying 'Help' lol.
Any ideas as to why or how to get rid?

Unfortunately the only two options I've got are force stop and disable.

I've bad it 4 weeks from brand new, and it's never been updated / modified except for rooting using CF Auto Root, so I don't think I've done anything wrong.

Do you have a custom recovery installed? Can you perform a factory reset to perhaps get rid of it? If you'd rather not lose user data, you can always disable it (or install Titanium Backup and freeze it).

Also, from the screenshot, is that an S3?

No theres no custom recovery. I do have TitaniumBackup installed and I did think about a factory reset, but at the moment I didn't want to go that far.

Also, to answer your question, its a Note 2 :)

I just tried to use TitaniumBackup to uninstall it and got the following message. I decided to stop because Gmailspell.apk didn't sound like the normal Gmail app to me.

Just out of interest, I pressed the uninstall button for the other Gmail app, the one that has data and the most recent version number. It says it's called Gmail.apk, so they definitely seem to be different.
