Why is Titanium Pro playing hide and seek?

Tonight I did things the wrong way round.

With limited research I tried to root my Galaxay Ace GT-S5830. It seemed to work as I gained the extra options when booting while holding power and home buttons and while high fiveing my girlfriend and showing her I hadn't wrecked my phone, i realised I had.

The phone worked for calls and texts but I couldn't get a data connection.
After turning off and on again it worked(as per IT Dept) it worked.

Then, in completly the wrong order I downloaded titainium pro to back-up my phone I had already made not work and I lost data connection again.

Although google play thinks I've downloaded it and my phone app manager shows its there and gives me the option to un-install it...... I can't find Titainium Pro anywhere and I cant get dATA connection on my phone.

Can anyone help with these two problems?

Pinddup, the Pro "version" of the app is nothing more than a license key: a text file placed on the SD card that Titanium Backup looks for to unlock all the Pro features. Use a file manager like Astro to check your memory and see if that's there. The file name is "Titanium Backup_license.txt" and if it's not there, it was inadvertently deleted or something. If you uninstall the app and then search for the Pro version, Play would say "Purchased" and you can re-install it. If not, you might want to contact the developer. Titanium Backup itself will still show up in your apps: but that's just the app, not the license key.

Since this app is transferable across multiple devices you may own in the future, it's a good idea to copy that license key to your PC for safekeeping. That way, when you upgrade to a new Android device, you can just copy the key over and rock on :)
