Why is VZW still selling over a year old tablet?

I couldn't find a answer to this. Why is VZW still selling such old tablets at their stores? The Note 10.1 is over a year old. Any ideas? Thanks, S
 
Because they probably sell it at the original retail value. There is always an idiot that will buy it at that price.
