Why kevlar back? Needs it on sides!

One of the things i found interesting about the Razr Maxx was the kevlar back. I know its not bullet proof, but its scratch resistant. This is what i find interesting. The actual back of the phone does not really get scratched. Its the back edges, which are plastic, and my phone has a lot of scratches. So why couldnt they put the kevlar around the back edges to give it a point?

I like to run my devices naked. But is there a super thin, very durable, perfect-fitting plastic or silicone case for the Razr Maxx? One that does not add bulk or weigth? Or some kind of durable tape that fits on the edges of the frame?

The whole phone minus the screen should be Kevlar in my opinion. But the silicone case i got from Verizon does the job quite well

Its because the iPhone is glass backed and known to crack easily. This is pretty much a PR thing and throwing it in apples face that "hey we have KEVLAR on the back of our phones" its Kevlar and its bulletproof LOL.

I've never been a fan of TPU cases, but the Diztronic case completely changed my mind. It's by far the best case I've had for adding a decent amount of protection without much bulk. There are several color options, along with choices in matte (which I prefer) and glossy finishes.

If you want to keep it as close to naked as possible, look into a full body ZAGG, Skinomi, ArmorSuit, or something along those lines. They adhere all around the body of the phone providing scratch protection, but of course do nothing for impact absorption. A lot of people love them because they add a clear level of scratch protection for the entire phone without adding any bulk.

The major reason I got this phone is so I can carry it naked without worrying about scratches. So far, so good. Thunderbolt was a scratch magnet.

I'm going to be plastidipping the edges next weekend. It does a wonderful job keeping my family's ipad scratch free. Pics coming up.

I have no scratch issues. I also find the side rail plastic to be very slick and easy to deal with.

Honestly I worry a bit about the screen. but even there - I never had an issue with my DX
