In Google Chrome the refresh button has been removed from the address bar and now requires an extra tap to do something as simple as refresh the page. What was the purpose of this asinine UI change? There is plenty of space in the address bar and refresh is a very basic and commonly used function.

If your refresh button is missing, try swiping down on any given page to refresh. This new refresh method was added somewhat recently - I use it all the time and greatly prefer it.

Maybe different versions. I'm using the latest available for me, which is 47.0.2526.83
