Help Wi-Fi issues with 2.3.6

Just an FYI I performed a factory reset before and after the OTA.

Was trucking along everything after OTA was fine. Setup my work exchange account and my Wi-Fi went AWOL. Well some apps would still work like Facebook. Others like Gmail and Web browser wouldn't have internet access unless I disabled Wi-Fi.

Removed the exchange account and everything works on Wi-Fi again.

Any ideas?
 
I would venture a guess that the exchange account was failing on sync and blocked other apps that sync'ed on that port.
