Help Wi-Fi keeps turning on

A lot of my neighborS have Wi-Fi all odd which are password protected. The problem is my GS7 keeps turning my Wi-Fi on trying to connect to them, draining my battery . I donno what I'm missing, I had no problem with my GS3 OR GS4. I'm sure its something simple I keep overlooking... Any suggestions , thanks.

Who is your carrier?

Some carriers like Sprint have connection optimizer apps/settings that turn on your wifi automatically. See if you have that somewhere on your phone.
