wi-fi not working

The wifi on my Apex tablet EM63 works fine. I took the tablet to the library and I was able to connect with a storng signal (accordin to wifi settings) . However when I try to load a page on the internet I get message that I am not connected and the page does not load ?? Any solution to this.

Thanks.

I have found that problems similar to this at home can all be solved by restarting the router or turning it off and on again, but I don't think that would be very feasible for you at the public library. You could try removing the library's signal from your list and then doing a wifi search again and connecting all over again and seeing if that helps. Internet can be a real pain at times for sure!

Do you have to register at the library to use their wifi? Most "free" wifi wants you to sign up in some way but it does allow your device to get an ip address so that you can complete the sign up process ... Worth checking before you tear your hair out ....

PS: my local library has this system and has you re-confirm your login credentials each time you re-connect to its wifi network.

The librarian says that it mobile devices usually connect with no problems. My son tells me that at some public places they have a page of rules and conditions that comes up when you connect for first time that you have to accept but no such page came up either?
