Help Wi-fi over mobile when available

Okay I'm pretty sure I saw this on some settings or something. There was a option to use wi-fi over mobile network when it was available. I've read wi-fi uses less battery than the mobile network option so I'd like my phone switch between wi-fi when in range and mobile when not in range. Like I said, I could have sworn I saw this on settings or something but now I can't find it.

If the network is saved in your phone it if automatic.

Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wifi Settings > Menu button > Advanced

Okay I just read if I have both wifi and mobile toggled on, then when I am in wifi range, it will use wifi and when i'm out of wifi range, it will use mobile. Is that correct? Sorry if I am confusing anyone.

Yeah, although when youre out of wifi range, you should probably turn it off so it doesn't still keep scanning for open wifi ports to connect to.
