Help Wi-Fi problems

Hey! I need help because I got a really annyoing problem. My phone is rooted. I have an Overmax Vertis 01.
My android version is 4.2.2. The problem is when I turn on the Wi-Fi, my phone just crashes and freezes. It will shutdown or just reboot, if I turn my Wi-Fi on. I jcan't download anything from the play store, only if I use my mobile data.

Please help. Thanks, will appericate if someone could help me out with this. :(

Hi @verifiedFrisko , welcome to Android Forums. :)

Sorry we missed this when you posted it. I'm not really familiar with your phone model, but have you tried clearing your system cache? You could also forget your wifi network and reconnect. Those can sometimes clear up issues like yours.

Well, thanks for the answer. But the problem is that I can't even turn on the wifi. I dont see connections, i can't. I just tap the wifi button, and my phone crashes. :(

Okay, so you're rooted, do you have a custom recovery installed? Are you familiar with adb commands? And do you have USB debugging on?

If yes to all of the above, you can boot into recovery and clear both your system cache and Dalvik cache, then reboot.
