Help wi fi sleep policy

Hi i am using galaxy ace .i have set my wi fi sleep policy to never ..but when screen goes off wifi shuts down. I have already reset my phone but no use .i have also used advanced wifi killer from market but made no avail of me.
ANY BODY WHO CAN HELP ME ..BCZ I M ALREADY fed up of googling .......

Because no one of those 60 persons knows that?
Whatever, try to do the same with the screen, set "Wait time" (screen timeout) to 30 min (if I'm not wrong it's the max. value)

thanx friends ...but i have already done it ....and it made no avail for me ....
neither sleep policy is working nor screen time out ...i have already reset my phone...once:confused:

are you using any type of battery enhancer app?
If you are using so then that might choose the profile which will turn off your data connection when ur screen will turn off.

no friend i am not using such type of application neither galaxy ace has so told profile that will persist sceern to stay on .............

wifi status shuts down? You mean when you turn the screen back on wifi is still turned off and you have to manually turn it back on?

Explain a bit more, what firmware are you on? Do you have to keep manually turning wifi back on?

yes i have to keep my wifi manually turn on and off..and yes when i turn my screen on again it has to reconnect wifi manually by switching off and then switching on wifi again...
baseband version s5830DDKA7
BUILD NO FROYO DDKAL
KERNEL VERSION 2.6.32.9

Nothing to do with sleep policy, believe you me ive tried everything possible.
You need to upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.5 and then be faced with another wifi bug where your phone will reboot every 30 minutes. Its great.......well not if you intend to use your device as a phone but as a paperweight.
I still dont believe its firmware, all these updates with no result to fix the wifi.I think Samsung arent ready to admit these phones have unstable wifi hardware and need a recall.
Still waiting for mine to come back from the tech dep.Not expecting them to fix it or even find a fault but you have to try the options before you ask for a refund.

yeah friends same problem here ..updated to gingerbred 2.3.4 but problem still goes on .it's not shutting down after every 30 mins but wifi is still running as it was running ...runs for some time and remains so
