Wi-Fi tether on virgin Mobile version

No, at least not my unrooted One V. You can turn the hotspot on and it shows as throwing out wifi, but try to connect to it and you can't get a connection. Maybe you can root it and change that, I don't know.

As I said though, bluetooth tethering does work with Foxfi. It is slower than wifi and you won't be able to stream video or anything but you can surf just fine.

i can confirm that .. just bought an htc one v (not rooted) and got PdaNet/FoxFi yesteday .. bluetooth works fine .. current record time without an interruption is 1 hour, 5 minutes .. it boots me off a lot though, trying to find out why.
