wi fi trouble

I am staying with my dad at the moment for a few days and he has wi fi but it wont let me connect to it. Wi fi says disconnected but even when it does come on it wont recognise his password which is correct. I was looking forward to being able to use it while I was away

What brand/model of Wireless router is it? Has it been updated with most current firmware? What type of wireless security is enabled? And what about your Android device?
