Help Wi-fi turning off

Dentist76

Newbie
I have a problem with the wifi on Acer Iconia A500.
Altough I do nothing especially when it's in sleep mode this thing happens.
I try to connect to wi-fi, however I see the wi-fi status as: "wi-fi turning off"
And no way to turn it on. Only way is to restart the tablet.
Anyone has any idea?

I don't know, as I've never had this experience on my A500, but I want to bump your thread so you might find someone who can help. :-)

I pulled this from another post I wrote for another thread on AF:

EDIT: Today I was experimenting with the settings and changed my settings to turn off Wifi every time I lock the screen. This seems to have put an end to the WiFi issue. For now at least. Hopefully Acer will bring a fix for this on 3.2.1

I forgot what I did, but this is basically what I did.

I have had the same issue as well where the wifi sits at turning off and the only way to get it back on is to restart the tablet. This has happened at both settings of wifi never sleeps and the turn off wifi when sleeping. It is very intermittent but a pain when it happens.
Not really helping with your question I know but...

I should be happy or sad there are others who experience the same issue.
I have no patience for the ICS update.
