Widget Area of Home Screen Turned Red

I actually have a 5a, but there wasn't a category. I'm running Android 13 and have installed the one update to it as well.

I've noticed that a widget on the home screen of the phone was still present, but had turned red. It was semitransparent so I could still sort of see the widget. I then removed the widget thinking that was the problem and that area of the screen remains red. I didn't knowingly change any settings, nor can I find anything to change the color of this area.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?

Is it on an area that has red in the wallpaper? Move to another area and see if it changes. It very well may be Material You doing it's thing.
