Help Widgetlocker needed with S3?

I'm getting an S3 in about a week and I saw that you can do some customization with the lock screen. Is there a difference between what you can do with the S3 lockscreen natively and Widgetlocker or is there still a benefit to getting Widgetlocker? Thanks.

the TouchWiz lockscreen only allows you to quick-launch apps.

where as Widgetlocker lets you do more.

You can do very little customization with the stock lockscreen. Essentially, you can add application shortcuts, toggle on/off the stock clock/weather/information ticker (and choose between news/stocks/facebook feed, but I don't believe the facebook feed is really working yet).

Anything more than that and you'll need widgetlocker or other lock screen app. I *believe* this will change with a future android update -- I can do more with the lockscreen on my Nexus 7 tablet, but since Samsung and AT&T don't have any input into the final release for that device, I'm unsure if the added features will make it to my GS3.

My favorite part of WidgetLocker, is that beside custom UNLOCK method and links to apps (like in a stock), you can place Widgets on your lock screen.

you can use homehelper within widgetlocker to block the home botton when the screen is off. Meaning pressing home brings up the lockscreen rather than performing an action. Personally I prefer this as I will often wake the device using the the home button and I don't like how it exits the current app on touchwiz. For me, is should operate like the lock button does when the screen is off but samsung don't agree.

You can also set it up so the lock screen always appears yet security (pattern or pin etc) only turns on after x minutes of inactivity. Useful if your using your phone frequenctly but not often enough to keep the screen on permanently. On touchwiz you can't separate the swipe to unlock screen from the security
