WidgetLocker question

For some reason, whenever I clear all running apps through task manager, widget locker closes and my standard locker appears on my gs2 again. how can i stop this?
 
If you have Android 2.2 or later, you shouldn't have to use the Task Manager to kill apps.

Otherwise, you could download a Task manager from the MArket that has an ignore list, and you can add Widget Locker and anything else to the list so that it will never be deleted.

Short answer android is linux not windows. When windows has something running in the background it is using CPU cycles, not so with Android, in fact you killing it could cause it to use more cycles and battery than if you just acted like it didn't exist. Android has it's own task killer built in and is programmed to kill tasks as it needs.

Ok, i got your point..but as a new user of android phone, i can see that my Optimus One RAM is 226mb on a normal use.. (referring to 512mb) and if the phone is in use for at least 5 straight days, i usually see the RAM went to 70mb..if I kill some tasks, it goes back to 180-200mb.. with that, i can experience laggy screens with below 70mb RAM.. :( this is the only thing that bugs me off.. restarting the phone solves the issue though.. :)

Ummm, isn't the answer obvious based on your question?

WidgetLocker must be running in order to work.

If you kill it, it won't work.

Why is this so difficult for you to understand?


Note: Agree with the others. No need to use a Task Killer at all.

If a restart prevents this it sounds like you are getting lag from cache. Check the battery usage you could have a rogue app that is eating away at the battery. I personally try to reboot my phone at least once a day, that will clear a lot of the cache out.
 
thanks..at least i know that i'm doing the right thing..restarting the phone solves the problem of lagging screen..
