Has anyone else had problems with Widgetlocker?

At first it worked ok, but after time it would take up to anywhere between 4 and 8 seconds to unlock the screen, and sometimes crash the phone where I'd have to do a battery pull.

I didn't have a ton of widgets on the lock screen, just the ics theme lock. Ever since I uninstalled it my phones back to normal albeit with the crappy sense lockscreen now

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

Which phone are we talking about here, your Magic or your Desire HD? If its your Magic it could simply be that the Magic is old with rather weak hardware to run it.

The dhd. Running go launcher as well.
On the lock screen it had just a plain black background so nothing like a live wallpaper slowing it down or anything.

I absolutely love Widgetlocker, so I hope it's not the app. Given that you aren't using its best feature (widgets), have you thought about using Go Locker instead? Maybe that'll play nicer since they're both great apps made by the same guy....

There could be a problem with some of your other apps running in the background. I used to use widget locker a lot. I love the app, but if I left many apps running in the background, it would lock my phone up frequently.

Have you made any other changes? For example, on my phone model the SmartAss governor (available on custom kernels for rooted phones) is notorious for very slow waking.

Or, as has been said, it could be another app. Ironically phandroid was my worst offender for cpu hogging!

I've used WL on my less powerful phone for about 18 months now with no problems.

Cheers guys, I'll give go locker a try.

Widgetlocker obviously isn't agreeing with something running on my phone. Nothing really obscure running though, just facebook, gmail, go sms etc.
