Help Widgets hell on battery?

[Chaznsc]

Ix have been having great battery life on my d2 until today. Last night I switched on my calendar widget and a "recent messages" widget. At 5pm today my battery was fried! I had been going until 10 pm.

Is this normal?

I would imagine widgets have to use up battery life. But that seems like a lot for 2 widgets.
