Help widgets on home screen

Hello,

i just bougt galaxy s and i have some problems. yesterday when i was hold-tap on home screen. i could choose from android widgets, samsung widgets, widgets, shorcuts, folders and wallpapers. today after updating to android 2.2 and instaling some programs (games or little programs wihout changing anithing at system) i can't choose android widgets or samsung widgets, they do not appear. i can choose just widgets (is not any android or samsung), shorcuts, folders and wallpapers.

pls help me fix it. i want to use some android or samsung widgets.

If you haven't done so already, do a factory reset on your phone. It will take you back to a factory day 1 with Froyo.

^ Keep in mind you will need to reinstall your apps and lose things like text messages but I always do reinstalls after to avoid such bugs.


Seriously almost every type of bug I've seen like this gets fixed with a factory reset...
 
After 2.2 update Samsung widgets and Android widgets are both clubbed into single "Widgets".

Just open the widgets and you would find both Samsung and android widgets there.
 
I think Samsung removed a lot of the widgets that were in 2.1, I had the same issue, I was seeing a lot of widgets from Samsung on 2.1 but in 2.2 I only see couple. I think it is not an issue but rather that they were removed from the phone.
 
Of the initial widgets that were under Samsung widgets I can see-

Buddies now, Calender clock, Daily briefing, Days, Dual clock, Feeds and updates And yahoo finance clock under the new widgets category.


Its strange that you cant find ANY widgets! What do you get when you select the widget option- A blank menu? Also you are from which region.
