Help Widgets won't delete from widget page

I hold widget down till red drag to trash & it is still there .

how to fix ?

settings, application manager, click on app you don't want and delete

Or go to widgets menu, press the menu key and then uninstall followed by clicking on the widget you want to uninstall on the menu.

Thanks I did that. Held down the menu key and it bought up the Google now pages. Now the Widget it working again. It's like I had it turned off or something.

Also, some apps have settings where you can tell how many widgets to show in the widgets window.

Can anyone offer any insight as to why they had to create two separate ways of removing something, one of which does not work with both apps and widgets?
