Widgetso

Hi,

3.0 version is here!!

UNINSTALL BEFORE INSTALL THIS VERSION OR WIDGETS DOESN'T WORK.

Give me your feedbacks

Regards

PS : bottom menu is scrollable

I've upgraded, the new UI is rather unintuitive, but I managed. Now I've saved a widget, does this mean I won't have to remember and rebuilt with new upgrades?

You have possibility to save "profile" on your SD card. This mean if you uninstall and install again Widgetsoid you can load the saved profile and recreate your widget in 2 clicks.

I will try to make UI more intuitive by always showing the scroll bar at the bottom.

That awnser your question? I don't know if I understand your question

Yes, you have :) So, what I saved when I clicked 'save profile' was saved to my internal or external SD card (which one)? The addition of that scroll bar would be nice. I do like the preview up at the top as you build your widget. I purchased Power Control Plus, I wish I hadn't, because your widgets are much nicer - a donation is coming your way ;)

Thanks to you!

Profile was save on external SD card on .widgetsoid folder.
You can click on app/contact/profil list to show options (modify, delete ect...)
You can click on overview button too to modify it (position, label...)

Just found this widget and I already love it. One problem I see is that reboot option does nothing. I'm running an EVO with the stock ROM, rooted and have the option set to ask about reboot and when I select whether I want Recovery or normal or any other it does nothing. I don't know if this is the same thing that plagues other 'reboot' widgets on Sense based ROMS. If so, not much you can do about it I suppose.

I really like this widget though and I'm wishing I hadn't already bought something similar because I'll probably end up using this now.

Thanks very much for offering such a great widget for free.

hi,

I don't think I can make reboot to work better... I use this command :
reboot
reboot recovery
reboot bootloader

Try to write that in "terminal emulator" on the market.
I know some root access doens't give access to reboot binary...

Tell me the return of terminal emulator.

Regards

I'm confused. There was an update this morning, I read the info page and it said to uninstall (again) before updating, so I did. I assumed I'd be able to just get my saved widget from my SD card and use it again, but that doesn't seem to be an option

Sorry for this uninstall but it was needed, I make some mistakes...

Now it's ok :)

If you have saved your profil you can load it again.
I see if you save profil with SD unmouted the profil was not saved because no SD (but apps tell you profile saved...)

SD have to be mounted to save/restor widgets.

ETA No, wait, it did save! I didn't mount the card, the card was inside the phone - the profile saved, I just didn't see it (I named it 'Home' and when I went into Profile I thought that would just bring me home - my muddle-headed mistake). It works just fine :)

Oh.....so you have to do that via USB? Not very convenient. That's ok, I'll rebuild it - but your help fule needs to make that all clear. For the record, I rarely 'mount' my SD card. It's installed in the device, I didn't know anything other than playing with flashing ROMS or direct moving from device to computer would require 'mounting'.

No not with USB.... Sorry if i'm not clear but my english :s
SD have to be accessible on the phone (not connected to the PC) and SD mount to the phone if you have access with a file explorer it's ok.

I see an error to my app, if SD is not present and you save profil it show "profil saved" but it wasn't saved because no SD.
I have to correct this.

If your SD is OK you just have to save profile or click to a profile to load it on the current widget.

Hope I'm more clear... Ask my some question if you don't understand

Sorry, I edited my post as you were replying - all is well. I'm distracted with baking Christmas cookies and fiddling around here between batches. And don't ever apologize for your English, at least you can speak multiple languages!! :) Would you like some help with translations? I'd be happy to help you with it - for example, Profile has an 'e' on it. Also, in your menu under change log, you might want to change Show Explication to "More Information" or something like that - Explication isn't really a word :) (although there are politicians in this country who make up combination words like that!)

Oh, and I meant to say, I love the notification widget, it takes up less room than the Power Control widget - I've uninstalled that completely. Great job!

Thanks I will change this for the next update.
If it's works it's perfect :) I just have to correct bug when SD is not present.

Merry christmas :) eat cookies for me ^^

Terminal returns 'Not Permitted' on all three. It's not a huge deal though. I have found one reboot widget that works. Just wanted to consolidate to just yours.

Thanks for the reply though.

If you find how this widget reboot your phone (what command it's use) i can integrate this to Widgetsoid but I don't know how works other apps.

I didn't find other way to reboot phone (it exist but apps work for your phone).

I search for a solution since month...

I honestly have no idea where to even begin looking for how it works. The first time I'd used the terminal app was last night and I only knew how to enter what you asked of me.

It's not a big deal though. Even that aside, this is a fantastic app. Thanks again.

Anyone have a samsung fascinate ? some user have force close on this phone but I don't have this phone :( I can fix the problem.

If anyone have this phone and use eclipse can send me the error log that's very helpful.

Thanks

I use an Evo, Android 2.2 and not rooted. I love your app! I love it so much I have two large 4x1 installed on one of my pages. It does take up a lot of space so I tried Reinbeau's idea of putting them in the notification area only, however, with two widgetsoid icons in the notification area, it looks a bit unattractive. Is there a way to consolidate without having one widget on a page and one accessible from the notification area?

Again, brilliant work Jaumard!

Hi,

For each widget you can check the option "Notification" to put it or not on the notification bar but you have one notif for each widget.
In the future I will put an option to put all widget who have "Notification" enable on the same notification instead of have multiple notification.

Hope I understand your question
Hope that answer your question

Tell me if it's not

Great app! I know the worst thing about making an app is how everyone keeps telling you how to improve it - so here's one from me ;-)

For the Shortcuts you can add to the switcher it would be great if I could change the icon rather than using the default.
