Help wife's phone dead !

Aaaaaaa tried updating wifes phone to 2.1 last night and ended up killing it. It was uldating fine then just got stuck and left the phone on the lg boot screen, tried it again and it killed the phone completly, now it wont even turn on and my pc wont pick it up when connected to usb. any ideas or is it screwed?

Which tool did you use?!
 
I take it you have removed the battery and sim card then tried again? You could try to boot it in safety mode. Camera-Power. It stops the phone from using 3rd party apps. It could be that the phone does not recognise the ROM you installed.
 
Thing is the phone will not turn on at all so when i try to flash it just says 'Phone not connected' . Looks like i might have to try to take it back and see if i can get a new one or get it repaired.
 
Just called o2 customer services and they said that they only replace phones up to 28 days and we've had just over a month but i should still take back to the shop and see re they can replace it or send it away to get repaired. The question is if they send it to be repaired do i tell them i tried to update it or just say it packed in

Say that you used the official LG Update Tool & it got stuck at some point then it got bricked... Don't say anything about the KDZ Updater...
 
Yea will probably do that just hope they don't try to send of to lg instead of dealing with it themselves
 
well i took the phone back to O2 and said it just stopped working, didn't mention upgrade to 2.1 attempt, so the O2 man said they would repair it because it's under warranty and it would take up to 10 days but expect longer because of christmas and the bad weather. However we got the phone sent directly to our home in only 4 days all fixed and they even upgraded the phone to 2.1 while they were at it! all excellent service i think but i'll think very hard about using LG official software and upgrades in the future.
