Gt myself a smartphone (Sony Xperia U), and needless to say I'm having several teething problems.
Firstly, how can I set it so I switch between 3G and Known Wifi connections automatically? I know iPhones and iPads do this automatically, but does android?
Also, I've only gone for 100mb Internet. This is because I like to be disconnected when I'm out and about, and the only thing I want to use it for is push email. I was told by several people in shops that of course this is no problem (it's a student/work email so I'm not getting large emails or anything). However, when I switch on Date Roaming it warns me that "charges may apply and it's best to switch off when finished using it" and this freaked me out. But surely I always need it on to receive push email? (I think being updated every half an hour).
