Wifi 5.0 Player is a good comparison for Note

Stopped by Best Buy on the way home today and just happened to notice that they have the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 5.0 out on display. It's super close to the size of the Galaxy Note so it was nice to get a real good idea of what the Note would feel like in hand.

It is a bit thicker than the Note (2.25mm thicker to be exact). The Note is also 5.55mm taller and 4.75 mm wider. Apparently though the extra space does make a difference cause the Player only had enough space for 4 apps across whereas the Note can place 5 apps going across. And it is definitely pocketable (assuming you aren't into wearing skinny jeans).

After seeing the Wifi 5.0 player in person I am definitely convinced that the Note is my next phone! Here is a link to sizeasy to get an idea of the differences.

I think the Note is at the borderline of what is pocketable, so no problem about that, but what about 1-handed operation, especially during text input.

That's not because of the difference in physical size, but because of the higher resolution of the Galaxy Note.

Stopped to check out the galaxy 5 player also. I sure am glad about 2 things.

1. Note has super amoled vs lcd. That galaxy player looked washed out. I think my infuse with super amoled plus has me spoiled.

2. Higher resolution. The galaxy player at 5 inches is showing the need for a 720p screen.

I hear ya bro, 1 handed ops is a big deal with me too. That was one thing I tried to simulate while holding it and it was no problem for me but I'm a big guy (6'2") with big hands.

I was watching the youtube vid below and in the very beginning he's holding the phone in his left hand and you can see that he would have no problems also doing one handed texts on the Note. So in general I think you'd be fine.
