New android 4.2.2 tablet that has successfully connected to about 8 public networks. My public library poses a challenge in that the network is seen but shows as "saved" Pushing the connect option never yields "connected" as I have seen elsewhere. Did the long pause and found additional features none of which have bearing on this issue. Guidance sought on how to proceed.
 
"Saved" only indicates that a wifi password was entered and remembered (or that it's an open network that was successfully connected to). It doesn't mean the saved information is correct. If it's an open network, or you're sure you know the correct password, I'd suggest pressing "Forget" and then retrying the connection.
