I recntely updated my phone to android 4.0.4 and now my phone will automatically turn on my 4G and Wifi. It is killing my battery and whenver I see it on, I turn it off but it turns itself back on right after I do. Can someone help me please. I contacted Samsung and they said I'd have to do a factory reset. Which I DO NOT want to do at all. Any adivce would be much appreciated!!!!

Wifi and 4G turning on automatically! HELP!!!

any battery saver app would keep either/or/both off at your choosing. I use juicedefender and it keeps the 4G off whenever WIFI is on, and keeps WIFI and 4G off when the screen is off.

Go to the menu button, Settings, More..., Mobile Networks, Connections Optimizer, and uncheck the box. The Connections Optimizer automatically connects to 4G and Wifi whenever you're using the phone. It was wearing my battery down too. STUPID updates!!

I too am having this issue. Galaxy S4. I do not see the option that "SeattleSweety" mentioned above. I'd also rather not install/use an app killer, if at all possible. Any help?
