Nevermind... I set a static ip on my phone, and at it to respect the dhcp reservation I created for theMAC address linked to the 5ghz station list. It connects between 135-180Mbps now. Still glitches some routerside aspects but everything had been performing well again. So it may just be visual now.

Hi guys, I had this problem and traced it back to the new router being set to Untied States instead of UK in the settings.

I solved my problem. I was using a wrong password slight different from the right one.
