Today I was at the courthose in Hayward Ca. and noticed my wifi was on. I turned it off and it restarted. After about 5 times I turned off my phone. Is this bigbrother spying or am I just paranoid?

I'm going for .. coincidence ;)

There was some issue with your phone which happened to coincide with you being in a govt building.

It would be a pretty clever technical trick if some govt. agency could manage something like that, I'm just not sure why they would want to do it. If they attempting some sneaky theft of your data, turning on your WiFi is just way too obvious. Besides, in order to turn on your WiFi, they'd clearly already have taken control of your phone.

Plus, can you imagine how expensive and complicated it would be to fit the required hardware in all govt buildings, let alone have personnel available to maintain it and resource to analyze all the resulting data?

But it makes you say hummmm? I later stoped at starbucks to see if it was a glitch and I had a little difficulty getting wifi to start let alone cant turn it off. Just make you wonder what they can do under the nat. sec. blanket.
