my battery life keeps going down and when i look and see what is doing it, wifi is on top of the list but i have it turned off so how is that possible? is there anything i can do to stop this? thanks

Help Wifi battery drain

check the other settings, such as if it's set to to notify if open networks are available, or to auto connect wifi. also, go to menu> advanced, and check if network notification is on, and if it's set to avoid poor connections.
for me - I have notify off, auto connect off, notification off, and avoid poor off. I'm 1d12h on battery, and my wifi is 16% (1d5h running) since I've been home all day.

I realize this is an old thread but I'm having this same issue...today...out of the blue. WiFi is showing in battery stats yet I'm not connected. It's not done this before, ever. Anyone have any additional thoughts? It's odd at best.
