Hi

Unless your phone behaves like that in other places with other routers, it is almost certainly the router.

You could try assigning a fixed IP address to your phone using its mac address as id. Most routers allow this in their settings.

there must be some kind of identification on the router itself, usually on the bottom or back. find the manufacturer and model number, go to the manufacturer's web site, see what it says for your model. can't help with applying the download, if any, sorry.

how to update it ?

All depends on the particular router. But for many of them, you go into the router's admin, and there might be update options there, and hope that the manufacturer has provided an update. Some others you download to a USB stick with a PC, plug the USB stick into the router and update it that way. If you have a supported router, there's DD-WRT, which is a custom open source router firmware...

But on the other hand if your router is only a $10 device, very likely there's no updates, and might as well just replace it with a new one.
